I first plugged in the scanner two days ago, and it immediately said it could not install a driver. I wouldn't even be able to uninstall it.ĭoes anyone have any insight into this? Thanx. I found the scanner in the device manager, but since I can't find the driver anywhere, I'm stumped. The article explained that I have to manually update the driver. Windows flashed a popup asking for permission to install, right over where it said where it would be installed, and when I clicked OK, that other window disappeared. I tried to install it the way described in the article, from the Canon site.īut the folder I got with 7-Zip didn't have the file in it that it said it should, so I tried to just install it directly. I tried to find a work around and came across an article that said the CanoScan Lide 60 driver works. I just realized that Canon didn't update their driver for my CanoScan Lide 50 Scanner for Windows 7 64-bit. Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this.
